Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026

This policy describes how JimBo (“we,” “us”) handles information when you use our mobile application for iOS (the “App”) and any related websites or services we operate that link to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect information in the ways below, depending on how you use the App and what you choose to share.

  • Account and profile. If you create an account, we may collect identifiers such as email address, username, and authentication credentials. You may also provide optional profile details you choose to add in the App.
  • Fitness and app content. We store the workout plans, logs, notes, and other fitness-related content you enter or generate in the App so we can provide the service.
  • Device and technical data. We may collect device and usage information such as device type, operating system version, app version, general diagnostic events, and crash or error reports to keep the App reliable and secure.
  • Permissions you grant. If you allow access to Apple Health or other system features, we only use that data for the purposes described in the App and in this policy, consistent with your permission settings on your device.

2. How we use information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the App; personalize your experience where you have opted in; communicate with you about the service (for example, important notices or support responses); protect the security and integrity of our systems; comply with law; and understand aggregate usage trends so we can improve the product.

3. Legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar regions)

Where required by law, we rely on appropriate legal bases such as performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests (for example, securing the service and fixing bugs, balanced against your rights), compliance with legal obligations, and consent where we ask for it explicitly.

4. Sharing and service providers

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with vendors and service providers who help us host data, operate infrastructure, analyze reliability, or provide customer support, subject to confidentiality and processing terms. We may also disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (for example, a merger) subject to appropriate safeguards.

5. Apple

Your use of the App may also be subject to Apple’s terms and privacy practices. We do not control how Apple processes data collected through the App Store or your device; see Apple’s privacy materials for details.

6. Retention

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App, then delete or anonymize it in line with our retention practices and applicable law, unless a longer period is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export certain personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can often manage permissions and limited data in your device settings (iOS Settings) and in the App where available. To exercise other rights, contact us using the details below. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under the age required by applicable law for consent without parental permission. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that category. If you believe we have, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

10. International transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Where that involves a transfer out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we use appropriate safeguards as required by law (such as standard contractual clauses) where applicable.

11. U.S. state privacy disclosures

If you are a resident of certain U.S. states with privacy laws, you may have additional rights regarding personal information, including categories of data collected and shared, and rights to opt out of certain sales or sharing. We do not sell personal information for money. For requests under these laws, contact us below.

12. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated through the App or by other reasonable means where appropriate.

13. Contact

For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the support channel listed in the App or on our website. You may also review our Terms of Service.
